- Paul C.Verified Buyer3 minutes agoRated 5 out of 5 starsA tasty Backpacking Meal
Quinoa and Sweet potato are a complimentary food recipe. I took this meal on a recent trip into the Los Padres. The small package size makes it easy to pack especially in a bear canister. I like the new addition of the water level to the package. It is easier to add water; no more measuring. I was able to add other ingredients such as torn tortilla and dehydrated soy. I found the best way to rehydrate soy chunks is in a peanut butter jar (used for cold soaking breakfast) several hours before adding to the meal. I also find that the package is easy to clean and can be used again with other homemade dehydrated foods.

We tried our first meal tonight after 10 miles in Zion on lesser well known trails - amazing day. So nice to come back to our airbnb tiny house knowing dinner would be easy. Salad, braised mushrooms and greens, and avocado on the Quinoa Sweet Potato Skillet. Yummy, healthy, and easy. Next week camping in Death Valley we will be enjoying more of these meals. Thanks for elevating camping meals.

Whenever we go camping, I'm usually the one planning everything, doing the grocery shopping, etc. Now I pack some of these and save myself the time and hassle of cooking every meal from scratch. I love the Quinoa Sweet Potato Skillet for breakfast, it's actually quite filling!

I have been eating meals like this since i was a kid. Plenty of experience with the military and now i came to this meal because of Alpha gal syndrome. Tha k goodness i did. Honestly this is the best camping meal i have ever had. Completely knocked my taste buds out the park. I suggest purple tortilla chips and some tequila 😁
