Product info.

just add water camping meals

Who are these products for?

Anyone who loves to eat in the outdoors! Take them camping to the woods, the beach, or as an office lunch.

Use these pouches as a whole meal or add fun additions like sautéed tofu, avocado, fresh herbs, and a crisp beer.

Are your meals gluten free and vegan?

Our Chickpea Coconut Stew and Sweet Potato Quinoa Skillet are both vegan and gluten free. Our Black Garlic Ramen Bowl contains gluten but is vegan.

I filled it to the line on the bag but it seems watery/dry.

Use the water squiggle on our packaging as a guide and use your best judgment. You can always add more water but you can’t remove it once it’s in there.

Can I bury or burn the bags?

Until we can source packaging that is fully compostable or recyclable, the ultimate rule of the outdoors is to pack it in and pack it out- leave no trace. We opt to use them as mini trash bags until there’s access to a trash can.

How long does it take for meals to rehydrate?

About 20 minutes. Just add the boiling water, seal, open a beverage and hang out. If you try your meal and there are any harder pieces, simply reseal the pouch and give it some more time.

What if I don't have a measuring cup?

While having access to a measuring cup (many water bottles and camp stoves include volume markings) provides an accurate result, we’ve marked a waterline right on the bag. This is an approximation so remember that you can always add more water but you can’t remove it once it’s in there.

Can I just fill the pouches with cold or warm water?

We do not recommend filling the pouches with anything less than BOILING liquid for the best results.

High altitude cooking?

Water boils at lower temperatures at high altitude so this means that it may take longer for meals to rehydrate.

Do I need any special equipment to prepare these meals while camping?

Nope! Just a portable camp stove or kettle is helpful for boiling water. Even in the backcountry, our meals are easy to prepare.

What makes your vegan camping meals better than other brands?

We’re chefs who want to create convenient dried meals that just make sense! NO RECONSTITUTED ANIMAL CHUNKS ON OUR WATCH.

Can I use these for car camping or emergency kits?

Absolutely! Our dehydrated / freeze-dried meals are great for both car camping and emergency preparedness kits. Their long shelf life makes them ideal for stockpiling or easy weeknight dinners when time is tight.

Do your meals contain any preservatives?

Nope! Our vegan camping meals contain no added chemicals. We dehydrate and freeze dry in small batches to make our products shelf stable.
